*TPAM 2019 blanClass Anthology #4 | Reiko Takayama [Heights Takayama]

Is it possible to create a theatre piece out of the “memories” a place has? blanClass is an experimental art place formerly known as “B Seminar” – a private school of contemporary art founded in 1967. By imagining this place as a fictitious abandoned flat, I will try to superimpose “memories” hidden in blanClass to perform a piece in this place. The position of this work, by which a “ghost” may be conjured up, is the 2nd of my “Ghost” series called Ghost Heights Theatre.

Reiko Takayama
Artist/Actor/Body Maintenance Exercise Instructor. She mainly focuses on boundary lines (actor/audience, you/me, this life/afterlife) to creates works which would make everyone enjoy things that have as many answers as there are people, such as the differences in perception that may occur by visualising and representing those invisible boundary lines. Her recent works include Ghost Writer (in which “the times of demise” transcribed by audience members themselves are performed). https://reikotakayama.tumblr.com/
