This is a workshop for expressing your feeling, which is as fragile as waters pilling from your hands, by examining, memorizing, and rearranging stimuli that grasps others’ senses in a certain sharable situation.
The method of the workshop is based on a music game called “Cobra” that was created by John Zorn, a Post-Rock musician active in New York. Even if you and/or other participants cannot play a standard musical instrument, you all will be able to play cool music by feeling and reacting to each other. The whole process of the workshop will be recorded to make an original CD entitled “SensingSense #1.” All participants will receive a copy.

The participants should bring musical instruments or anything that makes sound. The instrument can be non-standard. Even vocalizing or shouting is possible.
No particular knowledge or technique for music or sound art is required but anyone who plays a standard musical instrument also can enjoy this workshop.

The three stages of the workshop will be:
1. Guidance + Performance
History and examples of notation for dance and musical performance

2. Workshop + Session
Training in making sound and improvisation.

3. Recording
The session and some variations will be recorded.
