Naoko AKIYAMA
Born in Kyoto, living in Tokyo. Stayed in Holland from the age of 14 to 19.
Won the International School of Amsterdam Art Purchase Award.
Graduated from Department of Journalism, Faculty of Humanities, Sophia University.Made some music documentaries while studying in university.Graduated from Department of Personal Computer Graphics, Ariake Technological Special School.Graduated from Department of Apparel Planning, Nakano Technological Special School.Worked as an editor and a graphic designer.
Now studying under Keizo Motoda, a photographer, since 2009.
Participated in Takehiko Nakafuji photo workshop as an auditor (January – May, 2010).Now participating in Katsumi Omori photo workshop as a student (November, 2010 -).Actively holding slide shows, photo exhibitions and installations in Tokyo and Yokohama.
Also taking photos of live shows, performances, workshops, stage events, interviews, portraits, etc.Participated in “Artist In Residence Program 2010” in BankART, Yokohama (April-June 2010).
Participating in “Artist In Residence Program 2011” in Koganecho, Yokohama (2011-).
